The genre convention that was composed within the informative review papers
are analyses, story and personal touch. The informative review papers breakdown and
analyze previous material while reaching towards pointing out an issue that needs
solving.
In the review paper, “Carbohydrates and Increases in Obesity: Does the Type of
Carbohydrate Make a Difference?,” was to inform and display material gathered during
study such as data. The review went into deeper explanation on how weight gain
occurs. In the review paper, “Female Athlete Triad,” was to inform and speak on events
that occur to people in sports medicine. The intended audience for this article is female
athletes and women who participate in sports. In the review paper, “Carbohydrates and
Increases in Obesity: Does the Type of Carbohydrate Make a Difference? The audience
was the public and for those who are health conscious.I believe the documents meet
the needs of their audiences, not as a whole but individually as their own documents
because there are those who rather read informative articles and then there are people
within the audience who would rather have someone’s story be told. If you’re trying to
cater to an audience that is not an expert on the topic discussed then the paper should
not be dense and difficult to read.If the audience is experts, students and people who
have interest within learning about the topic in an informative way; academic format will be best.
The readability of each of these documents comes close to one another
because, as someone who doesn’t really like to read long articles or research papers
with many pages it was somewhat difficult to finish reading. In the review paper,
“Carbohydrates and Increases in Obesity: Does the Type of Carbohydrate Make a
Difference?,” was tiresome to read and was prolonged. Each of these documents
effective in their genre by developing, analyzing ideas while giving information to its
audience. They both developed ideas such as giving examples of who’s occurrences
such as illness and how it affected women in sports medicine.
