What is teenage pregnancy?
Teen pregnancy is pregnancy between the ages 13-19.
Health risk of Teen Pregnancy
- it is a rare condition within teen pregnancy, it is when seizures occur during pregnancy due to high blood pressure
- hemorrhage
- bleeding during pregnancy
- still birt(miscarriage)
- Postpartum: Depression that occurs after pregnancy
- Female reproductive organs are developed after a child is born, but it is not matured till later on in life.
Mental and Social impacts
- Due to going through puberty , teens already have anxiety and mood swings.
- Higher risk of postpartum depression after pregnancy, which can turn into major depression in their adult life
- Face discrimination, ostracized and bullying if they are in school, it can be from people they personally know to teachers and their peers.
- That is why teens need support when going through pregnancy and know all their options.
